THE EDGE OF FINE 1/13/2014
don’t leave me on the edge tonight don’t leave me on the ledge tonight I never meant to dine and wine you I never meant to lost and find you I never meant to fear, I never meant to hear the words you said in thought that brought me to the ledge to the edge of fine to a glass of wine to the brink of thinking drinking touching the edge of the glass and making it sing or scream remember the sound of a drop on your lips and I’ve nothing to bring to this party of two or one, or less than not a thing. just a drop or two of water, wine, blood or breath and a word I thought I heard that it turns out you never said. don’t leave me teetering on the edge of never again because forever began before we met and forever ended when you left.
