We sat side by side for four hours one night
It was the fastest and slowest four hours of my life. Fast because it passed and I never wanted an end. Slow because my thoughts have lived in that four hours So many nights since then. Your arm was pressed against my arm for a little while. Not sure if you noticed with your wool coat on As you were not accustomed to wearing coats. But I could feel it An energy shock From you to me As if our skin was bare. And we moved through sky A thousand miles above the world I knew And in that four hours My world was you. I was supposed to meet somebody in this life I had plans to meet up with someone right around this present time And I was hoping it was you. I remember as the plane touched down I usually feel relieved to have another flight safely atras de mi. But this time I had no interest in a return to reality. I was supposed to meet a friend Somewhere along this bend In the ever flowing Forward going Fascinating Catch my breath waiting Trip that we call life And I will admit I was hoping it Was you.
