Perfect
You're perfect you still send me songs (Even if you do not know it) And I still sing along (Even though I seldom show it) I'll pen you in a poem Sketch you with an ebony Hang you on my wall Pretend that you are close to me You're perfect You still send me songs I still sing along You were exactly right I was exactly wrong And of course No one is perfect I know I know It’s just a pretty word And I never thought you were Nor put you on a pedestal Because people fall from those It's just that The lack in each of us Is so deeply connected With what becomes the best of us And although no one is Or ever was You're perfect.
