TOWER
December 8, 2013 Feels like a tower Grey sky Wind whipping through this long dark hair of mine As I stand at the top Look round Look down Blue eyes open wide A world of wonder hushed away pressed inside Wondering why you’re still on my mind after little more than silence and time Why am I still high On the thought of you The want of you high in a tower With not a thing to do … The sun rises and the morning breeze Moves lightly across my face Feels like a kiss A light touch An embrace The sky knows me And it shows me Your heart But not where you are The earth breathes me And it needs me As I reach To touch The dirt So far beneath me is the earth From my tower Yes it’s feels like a tower And I sit on the marble floor Lean my back against the cold stone wall Tilt my head to look At the heavens above And wonder why After so much time That I’ve been a girl Exploring This mortal world I do not know more about the phenomenon that some call love really I still know far less than enough but the chase has left me stumbling reeling, lost and fumbling it’s too much sometimes I’d rather feel nothing So for now I’ll simply sit and enjoy the early sunlight of this morning hour And the view From the window high up In my tower.
