Omission

I miss you and the way
you seldom say
what is actually
on your mind
sometimes I think
even you don't know
what it is you're wanting
from you
or me
or anyone
I don't ask questions
and I don't say
what is actually
on my mind
But I do
tell the truth
when I say anything
I am
unrelentlessly
honest
even when I try not to be
but the words I don't say to you
could fill
so many chapters
in my unwritten books
yet I leave the pages blank
and if the act of omission
is the same as a lie
then I am a liar
I am a liar
